OutOfDark doesn't force one universal system on you. You build your own hierarchy of categories, periods, rulers, mints, denominations and tags – so the collection adapts to you, not the other way around.

A tree of categories and subcategories

Organize your collection into a tree as deep as you like – say Antiquity / Roman Republic / Marcus Antonius. Every coin belongs exactly where it makes sense, and subcategories always sit visually under their parent.

Your own ordering within a category

For each category you pick a default ordering from four modes – alphabetically, by minted year, a custom order, or by material, denomination and minted year. So you see the collection arranged exactly the way that makes sense to you.

Dictionaries that keep your terms in order

Rulers, mints, materials, countries, denominations, rarity and dealers live as structured records, not as text retyped over and over. One place where your naming really holds together.

Autosuggest from your own dictionary

In every form you search from your own dictionary – you type and the suggestions filter down to what you already have. And when a term is missing, one click on Create new record adds it on the spot, with no detour into settings.

Tag your coins, categories and wishlist

For your own sorting and cataloging there's a tag system that leaves you a free hand. Tag coins, categories and your wishlist – by condition, location, priority or anything that makes sense to you. Each tag has its own color, so you find your way around the collection fast.

Filter the collection and save the view

Ten filters – denomination, material, ruler, country, mint, rarity and more – sift your collection by anything. Save a favorite combination of filters, ordering and search under your own name and recall it next time with a single click.

Find anything instantly

Search by anything – name, ruler, catalog reference, denomination, material, mint and even notes. A few letters and you see results with previews right away, so you reach the right coin in moments.

A filter for missing fields

With one click you filter the coins that are still missing something – category, denomination, photo, weight and more, always with a count. Fill in the gaps at your leisure and the collection gets complete piece by piece.
