How the hand-off works

Choose a person and an inactivity period
In Settings → Legacy hand-off, enter your contact's name and email. Choose an inactivity period and add an optional personal message.
- 7 days to respond
We contact you first
After your chosen period, we send you a check-in email. Sign in or confirm through its link to reset the countdown. Nothing is handed over.
- Only if you do not respond
Your contact receives the inventory
If you still have not responded after another seven days, we email your chosen person the collection inventory and your message.
You stay in control of your collection
You enable the hand-off yourself. Change the recipient, period or message, or switch it off at any time. Keep your coin details and values up to date – we pass on what is in your records.
A few questions you may have
What if I am just away on a long holiday?
After the chosen period of inactivity, the check-in email goes to you first. You have another 7 days to sign in or confirm through the email link and reset the countdown. Before a planned break, you can change the period or switch the feature off.
Does my contact get access to my account?
No. They receive an email with a CSV attachment, which opens in Excel or Google Sheets. It contains your coin inventory, including recorded values. We do not hand over login details or account access.
Are the recorded values a professional appraisal?
They are the purchase prices and estimated values you have saved for your coins. They are not a new professional appraisal or a guaranteed selling price. Your family can use the inventory as a starting point with a numismatist or auction house.
What happens if my Premium subscription ends?
An enabled legacy hand-off remains active for another 180 days after the subscription ends. You need active Premium to enable it for the first time. See the pricing page for the current plans.
