We're building the tool we needed ourselves
We're collectors and we love numismatics – among other things, we also run the numismatic e-shop Mincmistr.cz, so we have deep, long-standing experience with coins, auctions, and collecting. And yet for years our own coin information was scattered across Excel, Word, photos on our phones, auction links, invoices, and notes. The more the collection grew, the harder it was to quickly find out what exactly we had, what we paid for it, what it's worth, and why a particular piece is interesting.
We tried off-the-shelf solutions. Some were too generic, others were focused on the US market, and others felt outdated or cost too much for features we didn't need.
That's why OutOfDark came to be. Not as another empty startup promise, but as a practical tool for everyday work with your collection. We don't chase flashy features – we mainly add what we genuinely use when working with our own collection.
